Sunsets in Strawberry Fields

Chevvy Sebastian

On rare occasions do

Sunsets

Occur in

Strawberry Fields.

Inverted eyes and green sprouts

Cloud your vision.

Life is easy in this state.

Tree houses lay bare,

Nothing more being hung from the branches.

Taking the long roads

Where everything is surreal

And real.

No,

Not real—

Forever.

Strawberry paints

Burst like grenades

Over silver hammers and canvases

And no one knows how far the

Never-ending fields go.

Love goes on trial

As eyes close

And hearts

Stop.
